Quinoa The South American Superfood!

Quinoa is a grain-like crop from South America. This super-food contains magnesium and iron and is high in fiber.  Quinoa is also a complete protein which is unusual for a plant.

Prepare quinoa just like rice, but rinse it for several minutes prior to cooking. The recipe posted below makes a great vegetarian meal. They also taste great cold and are an ideal post-workout snack.
